Type Locality and Naming

Liang Dingyi et al named it in 1991. The named section is located on the western slope of Mayangpusha, Zada County, Tibet.

Synonym: Zharnya Gr


Lithology and Thickness

It is composed of black gray thin layer argillaceous microcrystalline limestone, marl and black limestone. Its thickness is about 15 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

The bottom boundary is marked by the initial appearance of dark gray medium-bedded banded argillaceous limestone, Conformable contact with the underlying Denggongka Fm.

Upper contact

Top boundary is marked by the final appearance of medium-bedded dolomite. Next younger unit is the Duorang Gr.
